The Mount Errigal Hotel is now recruiting

for the position of

 

Bar Manager

 

 

The Role: To manage the running & business development of the main bar and

function bars in the hotel. Working alongside the General Manager, the Bar

Manager will have responsibility for end of day closing procedures including

daily cash up and reconciliation as bar manager. The primary focus of this role

would be to deliver a high standard of customer service to our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· To ensure a high standard of service and hospitality to all our patrons.

· To maximise sales opportunities in the bar.

· To have a good knowledge of food and beverage items and to inform staff of the same.

· Liase with Kitchen/Restaurant and Conferencing and Banqueting

 

Departments.

 

· To be responsible for stock orders, control and audits.

· Carefully plan that each shift and function is covered by capable staff.

· To ensure effective staff supervision and training.

· To rigorously adhere to all hotel policies: Health & Safety; Hygiene; Fire;

 

Customer Care and security.

 

· Ensure compliance with HACCP regulations.

· To be responsible for the effective management of tills, floats and cash handling procedures

 

 

  Requirements:

 

· Must have at least 2 to 3 years experience in a hotel property.

· Have a positive attitude, with a passion for hospitality.

· Be motivated, active and outgoing.

· Be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.

· Have the ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team.

· Must have fluent English, both written and oral
